How much better is blu ray from normal dvd? - best blu-ray upconverting 2009
In trying to convince my parents like to have a PS3. only to be used, it will be Blu Ray. The better the quality of the Blu-ray DVD standard? there is a difference large enough to be felt? DVD is an upscaling of the same quality as Blu-ray disc itself?

The conclusion is that the technical difference is huge, but remember, unlike their parents, will depend on many factors including the size of the TV's native resolution of your TV, and to what extent they are sitting on the TV screen. If you have a 1080p projector and 100 "screen and have to sit 10 meters, the difference is very impressive. If you sit 10 feet out of a 50" 1080p flat-panel TVs, the difference is what I call important but not spectacular. If the TV is even lower, or if you are sitting, or when the TV is not 1080p, the difference may, however, hardly noticeable.
